On May
21st and 22nd, Susan and Roy Duke of Franklin, VA were guests at the inn and celebrated
their 28th wedding anniversary. We wish them all the best for many more anniversaries in
the future.
On
May 21st and 22nd, Sarah and Scott Sanderson of Nashville, TN were guests at the Inn and
celebrated their third wedding anniversary. Scott is a member of the Tennessee Tigers
football team. We'll be watching him on Sundays this fall. We wish them all the best for
many future anniversaries.
On May
7th and 8th, Peggy and Robin Cabe of Irmo, SC were guests at the Inn and celebrated their
5th wedding anniversary. We wish them all the best for many more future anniversaries.
On
May 2nd, Sara and Bill Wilson of Greer, SC were guests at the Inn and celebrated their
27th wedding anniversary. We wish them all the best for many more future anniversaries.
On
April 24th and 25th, Judy and Roy Bream of Matthews, NC were joined by their friends,
Shari and Bill Therit of Hanover, PA to help Judy (second from right) celebrate her 23rd
anniversary of her 29th Birthday. We'll let you do the mathematics! We wish Judy all the
best for many more birthday anniversaries. They were guests of ours last September
when they celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary.
On
April 24th and 25th, Pamela and Steve Hall of Kettering, OH stayed at the Inn and
celebrated their 10th anniversary. We wish all the best for many more anniversaries to
come.
On
April 8th and 9th, Linda and Bob Watson of Greenville, SC stayed at the Inn in celebration
of their 34th wedding anniversary. We wish them many more anniversaries to come.
Jody
and Bill Garrett of Marietta, GA celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary at the Inn on
March 6th. We wish them all the best for many more anniversaries to come.
On
March 5th, Keith House of Greenville, NC proposed to Kyle Newall. And, Kyle accepted!
A limo then took them to Gabrielle's Restaurant at Richmond Hill for dinner.We wish
them all the best. No date for the wedding has been set.
On
February 28th, Kathy and Gary Moss of Seneca, GA celebrated their eighth wedding
anniversary at the Inn. We wish them to have many more anniversaries together.
On
February 19th thru 21st, Susan and Shaun Alcorn of Matthews, NC stayed with us to
celebrate their third wedding anniversary. We wish them all the best for many more
anniversaries to come.
On
February 11th, Shannon Briggs and Leif Ochiltree of Oak Ridge, TN were married at the Inn
on Montford. We wish them many years of happiness together.
On
December 27th and 28th, Julie and Russell Thompson of Charlotte, NC spent their honeymoon
at the Inn. We wish them well in their new marriage.
Nancy
and Charles Cezeaux of Humble, TX celebrated their 25th anniversary with us on December
21st and 22nd. We wish them many more anniversaries to come.
Caroline
and Charles Robertson celebrated a short honeymoon at the Inn on December 20th before
embarking on a cruise after the Christmas holidays. We wish them all the best and hope
they will be able to spend, perhaps their first anniversary with us and then stay a bit
longer.
On
December 19th thru 22th, Bill and Denise Williford of Perry, GA celebrated their 30th
wedding anniversary at the Inn. It was also Bill's 50th birthday. We wish Denise and Bill
many more anniversaries to come.
Karen
and Stephen Hicks of Adger, AL spent their 26th anniversary at the Inn on December 18th
thru 21st. We wish them all the best for many more anniversaries to come.
On
December 17th and 18th, Diane and Tom Basham of Harrisburg, NC spent their 13th wedding
anniversary at the Inn. We wish them all the best for another 13 years (at least)!
On
December 6th, Scott Shelnutt of Jonesboro, GA proposed to Kelly Seelhammer, and she
accepted! So far the Inn has a perfect record of proposal acceptances.
It came as a complete surprise to Kelly. We wish them all the best for their life together.
Melissa
and Jeremie Price of Ringold, GA celebrated their first anniversary at the Inn on December
6th. We wish them many more anniversaries to come.
Lynn
got a call Monday, November 30th asking if she would be in a wedding. Charles and Corina
Buzzanell of Asheville were married that afternoon and we hosted a reception at the Inn.
Charles and Corina were guests of ours in February, 1998, while Charles was interviewing
for a job in Asheville. In two days they had found a house and he had accepted his new
position.
We wish all the best for Charles and Corina in the future.
John
and Debbie Cunningham of Sharpsburg, GA celebrated their second anniversary with us the
weekend of November 29th. We wish both of them many more happy anniversaries to come.
Gejuan
and Stan Cook of Suwanee, GA have an interesting story. They were at the Inn on November
21st and 22nd to celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary. It also happens to be their
21st anniversary as this is their second marriage to each other, and, if you count the
"informal ceremony" on the front porch of her house when they were 12 years old,
it will be their 31st! And, just to make it even more interesting, it is Gejuan's 43rd
birthday. Our best to the Cook's for many more multiple anniversaries!
Calvin
and Mary Brownlow of Calhoun, GA spent their 22nd anniversary at the Inn November 20 and
21. Their anniversary dinner was at Gabrielle's at Richmond Hill. We wish them the best
for many more anniversaries.
James
and Karen Shaw of Sugar Hill, Ga spent November 11th and 12th at the Inn in celebration of
Karen's 30th birthday. We wish Karen many more birthdays to come.
Bain
and Melissa Ayres of Acworth, GA spent their seventh anniversary at the inn on November
6th and 7th. Bain and Melissa have a five year old and Melissa is expecting a second
child in May. All the best!
Ron (the webmaster) was at the Independent Innkeepers Association (IIA) conference in Palm Beach, FL, thus the delay in publishing their picture.
Jim
and Iris Shepherd of Baltimore, MD stayed with us on October 29th and 30th to celebrate
Jim's 50th Birthday. His birthday started with five hours of white water rafting and ended
with a delightful dinner at Gabrielle's Restaurant at Richmond Hill Inn. We caught Jim
having a champagne toast (Biltmore methode champenoise, of course) and a glass of Biltmore
Chardonnay. We wish Jim many more birthdays in the future.
Peter
and Irene Pring, Wokingham, Berks, England were guests at the Inn on October 24th and
25th. Living not very many miles away from where we lived during our twelve year stay in
England, we had many memories to recount and spent time getting updated on life in England
today. We wish the Prings the best for the future and hope someday they will return to
Asheville. Oh, the arrangement next to them was a gift from Connie Munden of Munden &
Associates, who specializes in selling bed and breakfasts in North Carolina. Thank you,
Connie, for the ideal Halloween gift!
Donna
and Tom Hunnell of Fort Worth, TX spent a leisurely week at the Inn celebrating their
recent marriage. Leaving on October 25th to return home, they were now totally relaxed and
ready to return to their normal lives. We wish them all the best!
Jennifer
and Rodney Smitherman of Winston-Salem, NC celebrated their first anniversary on October
18th by staying with us at the Inn. All the best for many more future anniversaries.
Mari
and Charles Gresham celebrated their honeymoon at the Inn in mid-June. They were back with
us the weekend of October 18th; this time complete with a Honda motorcycle that had to be
carefully driven up that narrow ramp into the back of their pickup truck. Well, it
happened without incident, and they are on their way back to Rock Hill, NC.
On
October 16th and 17th Michael Thompson and Douglas Zucker of Spartanburg, SC stayed with
us in celebration of their recent commitment ceremony. We wish them all the best for the
future.
Jane and
Townsend Holt of Florence, SC were in Asheville for the annual Orthodontist's Convention.
While they weren't celebrating a special anniversary or birthday, they wanted to have
their picture on the Internet, and to say to their friends, Dee and Becky, "Eat your
heart out!!" We'll be seeing the Holts again in mid-December.
Rosemarie
and Michael Battaglia of Mount Pleasant, SC spent their twentieth anniversary at the inn
on October 15th. Our best wishes for many more anniversaries.
Vonda
and Paul Dubey of Newport News, VA celebrated their honeymoon at the Inn the weekend of
October 11th and 12th. We wish them all the best!
Robert
and Dierdre Lieb (left) of Tarzana and David Lans and Lynne Doll (right) of Glendale, CA
have been doing a circular tour of the Southeast US, including Atlanta, Savannah,
Charleston and Asheville. Keen on antiques, they finished their vacation at the Lakewood,
GA antique fair on Sunday, October 11th. The Liebs were celebrating their 13th wedding
anniversary while the David Lans and Lynne Doll were celebrating their 12th wedding
anniversary. We wish them all the best for many more years to come. And, Lynne, leave some
silver napkin rings for us!!
Denise
and Alan O'Bryan of Charlotte, NC spent their first wedding anniversary at the Inn on
October 9th and 10th. We wish them the best for many future anniversaries.
Larry
and Suzanne Brannam of Augusta, GA stayed with us for four nights, leaving October 7th,
the morning after their sixth anniversary. We wish them the best for many more
anniversaries.
Tom
Freeman of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL recently completed his MBA. As a celebration, he and
wife, Michelle spent five relaxing days with us October 3rd thru 7th. We wish Tom well
with his new degree and all the best for the future.
Angela
and Kevin Fipps, Hilton Head, SC celebrated their second anniversary with us on October
2nd and 3rd. They had a fantastic story - they met on a cruise to Cancun and within three
weeks were married. It was love at first sight! We wish them many more anniversaries in
the future.
The
Trents of Port Saint Lucy, FL were at the inn on October 1st and 2nd as part of their
honeymoon celebration. We wish them the best of luck and many anniversaries to come.
Bill and
Lean Barr of Atlanta, GA were at the Inn on October 2nd celebrating two birthdays and a
10th anniversary. What a combination. We wish them all the best.
Carrie
and Dwane McDonald were guests at the Inn the weekend of September 19th in celebration of
their 15th wedding anniversary. Their anniversary dinner was at the Grovewood Cafe on the
grounds of the Grove Park Inn. We wish them many more anniversaries in the future.
On
September 19th and 20th, Bruce Griffeth and David Lostis of Atlanta, GA were guests at the
Inn celebrating David's 50th birthday. It took a lot of coaxing to get him to let us take
his picture, but we think he looks great for 50! We wish him many more birthdays in the
future. Gabrielle's at Richmond Hill was their choice for the special dinner.
On
September 14th and 15th we had David and Dorothy Petersen of Lawrenceville, GA as our
guests. They were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. We wish them all the best
for many more anniversaries to come.
