We are extremely proud that AAA has awarded us its prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating. We are one of only six bed and breakfast inns, out of over 450 in North Carolina, to receive this coveted honor.
We have just completed a gated arbor as the garden entrance to the Cloisters, providing an enclosed, private back garden area - ideal for your outdoor breakfast and to allow your pet(s) to freely move from the Cloisters to the outside garden. Pictures will be coming shortly.
Winter was a busy time for us! We redecorated the O.Henry room and its bathroom. Gone is the "camp sink" as it was affectionally referred to by the AAA Four Diamond Inspector, replaced by a mahogany cabinet encased sink. Light brown wallpaper appears in both the bathroom and bedroom, with brown carpet and a new leather king size bed frame. We're sure you'll enjoy the enhanced look and feel!
Since 1988, Fodor’s Travel has been awarding the Fodor’s Choice distinction to only the very best lodging, restaurants and attractions around the world. Every year, Fodor’s writers experience, examine and evaluate thousands of hotels, bed and breakfasts, restaurants and attractions in their travels across the globe. While every business included in a Fodor’s guide is deemed worth a traveler’s time, only fifteen percent of those selections are awarded the very highest, Fodor’s Choice designation by Fodor’s editors.
We are thrilled to receive this accolade from Fodor's Travel, especially as we are the only bed and breakfast inn in North Carolina to receive this honor!
The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.
These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered
and analyzed to choose the winners in each category.
The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.
We expect the work to be completed by the early September
Keep watching this space for progress.
